Blind-Hemmed
Blind-hemming uses a carefully colour-matched tape invisibly stitched to give a subtle finish that you will hardly notice. Due to their construction certain loop textures require a wider blind-hem finish. This slightly broader edge ensures longevity, yet is still elegantly understated.
Whipped
Whipping offers a clean, continuous edge that adds strength and finish without drawing the eye. We whip our TENCEL™ rugs using the same lustrous yarn as the pile for a harmonious match. Wool textures are whipped with carefully matched wool yarns to echo the tone of the rug. This finish is subtle, functional, and crafted to withstand everyday use while maintaining a contemporary look.
Bordered Rugs
For those who prefer a statement border to frame the rug, we offer cotton, linen, leather, or Alcantara® faux suede tapes. Standard border width is 5–6cm, carefully chosen to add structure without overwhelming the rug’s design. Choose from our selection of timeless neutral borders or for a bolder look, we offer the option to apply edging using customer-supplied tapes.

Handsewn
Our most discreet finish, handsewing uses the same yarn as the rug pile, and is meticulously stitched by hand for a finish that appears almost invisible. This is the standard edge on all our stock rugs and is also available on bespoke orders. Ideal for those looking for a very minimalist look, the handsewn edge creates a seamless finish that allows the pile and texture to remain the focus.
